Slovenia’s first and largest tableaux vivant, representing scenes from the Nativity in the most beautiful chambers of the Karst underworld, are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Special musical guest in the performance will be Slovenian biggest music stars Helena Blagne and Oto Pestner.
The Bible story of the Nativity is told in Postojna Cave by means of a series of tableaux in some of the most beautiful parts of the cave. Visitors can view the Christmas Crib scenes as they stroll through the Postojna underworld. An original contribution to the festive atmosphere is provided by choirs from all over Slovenia and from across the borders. The Christmas Crib will be accompanied by a Christmas Market, a Chocolate Fair and dancing on the esplanade in front of the entrance to the Postojna Cave.The performances will take place on 25, 26, 27 and 28 December 2009 and on 2, 3 January 2010. Each day at 2.00 pm, 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm.
