Dream Hostel was chosen the Hostel of the Year 2011 in Finland
Dream Hostel, opened last April in Tampere, has already won its spurs. This was the unanimous opinion of both clients and the Board of Hostelling International Finland, when the hostel of the year 2011 was looked for.
The external settings of the hostel receive also thanks for their elegance and cosiness. The place has been designed expressly for hostel use. There is a sufficient amount of premises shared by clients, and they also invite one to spend time with other travellers, which makes the sense of community, typical of hostels, come true well. The furnishings are trendy and international without forgetting the local culture: each room has a theme of its own, based on local specialties from observation tower Näsineula to black sausage characteristic of Tampere.
Mr Ari J. Aalto, the secretary general of Hostelling International Finland praises Virkki himself for his courage: ”Dream Hostel started in hard times; it, however, seems to have already established its place among travellers and in the accommodation services offer available in Tampere”, Aalto says.
