Wine shop and shop in blossom
Brežice became richer and more interesting by acquiring a wonderful wine shop and a shop in a completely renewed town hall which is situated in the very center of the town Brežice. The wine shop and a shop are in full bloom and Zavod za podjetništvo , turizem in mladino Brežice (The institute for enterprise, tourism and youth Brežice), who is the manager of the mentioned places, tries to increase the offer and to attract more local wine producers and craftsmen, so they can participate in this project and introduce their offer to wider users. The wine shop is boasting with shelves fulfilled with quality wines, premium wines and of course predicates. All of this wines are a product of hard and persistent work from approximately 22 local winegrowers. You can find wines with the mark of PTP (Proznano Tradicionalno Poimenovanje) which means “Recognized Traditional Denomination”, such as the special red wine called Cviček, an also the white and red Bizeljčan. Lovers of white wines will be delighted over the wide selection of stunning white wines, both dry and sweet. Visitors can choose between Laski Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Traminer, Muscat and many other excellent wine varieties. To larger groups, which have a desire to spice up their everyday life with a visit to the wine shop, we can organize a tasting of wine and let them choose which precious drop of wine is more suitable for them.
Shop, which has become a real treasure trove of products made by Posavje’s craftsman, is becoming a very interesting post for passers-by to peek in out of curiosity and very often they discover an interesting product which brightens up their day or someone else’s. There is a variety of products, from 30 different vendors from region Posavje and surroundings. You can find food products such as flour, jams, honey, liqueurs, spices, and a newly acquired product, sinfully good chocolate with pumpkin seeds. Of course there is also a wide range of natural soaps with different scents and for different skin types, than elegant pottery, souvenirs with the attractive designs of Brežice, textile products, such as knitted garments for babies, colorful aprons, practical purses and handbags. Even the most picky would find something for them self.
As March is the month dedicated to the gentler gender, hostel Brežice will dedicate special attention to women and offers them a 20% discount on accommodation.
