Celebrate New Year in Germany

Content
Celebrate New Year in German youth hostels – in peace and quiet, sports activities or a big party.

Nobody has to spend New Year at home alone. Many youth hostels in Germany are offering New Year’s Eve Parties. You can look forward to a great party atmosphere and a fantastic programme in our company. Many youth hostels have prepared special programmes for their guests around the last day of the year. A delicious buffet and a range of other attractions await you on New Year’s Eve.

For those who are looking for a healthy and active start to the New Year, the youth hostel in Creglingen (Baden-Württemberg) has just the right activities on offer: zumba, step aerobics, yoga and massages will help you regain your fitness.  The buffet offers a balanced diet with a rich variety of healthy food.

Special winter outdoor programmes are offered in Hesse. In the Rhineland, a programme of sports, wellness and fantasy is being organized for our guests. Of course, no New Year’s Eve is complete without a huge party.

In Saxony-Anhalt, guests of the youth hostel in Halle can partake in a nocturnal guided tour through the city before the celebrations. The youth hostel in Thale invites its guests to a campfire, a trip to a local hot spring and a masked ball on New Year’s Eve.

Those who don’t want to celebrate with the other guests in the youth hostel can use our youth hostels as low-price accommodation and visit Germany’s largest New Year’s Eve party in Berlin: hundreds of thousands of people will welcome in the New Year between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column.  National and international stars will be on stage before the grand finale at midnight: the New Year will be welcomed with a large fireworks display.

Celebrations in Hamburg’s harbour are just as exciting: Impressive and colourful fireworks will be set off at midnight. This is a fireworks display with a difference, because it will be accompanied by the ships’ horns and sirens.

We have a range of activities for the days around New Year on offer, like visits to a museum, guided tours of  towns,  role-playing games with a Count Dracula theme, to name but a few.
