Slovenia is a great destination for both individual travellers and groups. In the autumn we present you the hostels, which can offer your groups the sport facilities for practice and training, organization of events, such as seminars, educations and also teambuilding. The hostels are good both for smaller closed groups, as well as large groups with high demand.
At the foot of the Alps we offer you the
Hostel Koča Suha, which is perfect for smaller groups. The hostel is not far from Lake Bohinj and you’ll be enjoying the natural environment away from the stressful urban life. If your group would require a lot of technical equipment, classrooms and separate rooms for smaller groups, we can offer you four great hostels in different parts of Slovenia. First is in
Slovenj Gradcu, just a few kilometres away from the Austrian border and about an hour from the international airport at Celovec (Klagenfurt). Next is in
Mariboru, the second largest Slovenian city that was the European Capital of Culture in 2012 and the European Youth Capital in 2013. We also recommend
Celje, a city with rich history dating back to the Roman Empire. Last but not least is
Idrija, which takes pride to be part of the UNESCO world heritage list. And there’s always the state capital, with
Youth Hostel Ljubljana, which offers you not only great boarding capabilities, but also various sporting halls and one of the best fitness centres in the capital.
1. Youth Hostel Koča Suha
Larger groups and families, who would like to spend their holidays in the peaceful nature of the Triglav National Park are all welcome at
Koča Suha. We can accommodate 24 people in different types of rooms. Cottage Suha was completely renovated in year 2013. Guest can use a brand new and completely equipped kitchen and a spacious dining room. There is a big garden next to Cottage Suha (800 m²) which guests can use – there are also deckchairs available with barbeque and 3 wooden outdoor tables for a pleasant outdoor experience.
2. Youth Hostel Slovenj Gradec
At the
hostel Slovenj Gradec we offer accommodation in modern equipped rooms, single, double and four-bed rooms and four suites, which offer stay for three, four or eight people. Total number of beds is 59. All rooms and apartments are equipped with their own bathrooms and toilets, one apartment is adapted for disabled guests. Guests can also be given to a common kitchen where you can prepare your meal. Next to the kitchen is a laundry room, where guests can wash, dry and iron their clothes.
3. Youth Hostel Idrija
Idrija is a place of many beauties – natural and cultural, exhibitions, galleries etc. To get a feel of the city and visit all its attractions, we invite you to visit us for a few days and stay the night at the hostel Idrija.
Youth Hostel Idrija has a beautiful location on top of a hill, with a view of the star shaped town valley and the morning coffee in the heart of the town just a 5 minute walk away. Hostel Idrija can offer you a double room, three or four bedded rooms or a group room for 8 people. The bathroom and toilets are shared.
4. Youth Hostel Pekarna
Hostel Pekarna is completely renovated and of modern design. It offers accommodation in seven four-bedded rooms with bathrooms, accessible across the long living room/hall for socializing, lazing around and getting to the wooden terrace. The upper level is made into a residential centre. Guests can choose between modern apartments or flats with their own kitchenette and bathroom. Altogether the hostel offers 61 beds. In order to help you explore Maribor and its sights, they offer the rental of a bicycle.
5. Youth Hostel Ljubljana
Hostel Ljubljana is located in the hotel wing of the building. Hostel has 35 beds (2-bed room, 3-bed room, 4-bed room, 6-bed room and two 10-bed rooms). The bathrooms are in the same hallway as the rooms and were renovated this year. Should the bathrooms be busy hostel guests can also use those in our sports centre. The rooms are equipped with the lockers. Ask for the locker keys at the reception. Bed linen and towels are included in the price. Groups can combine staying in the hostel rooms with hotel rooms (1, 2 or 3 bed rooms) with extra capacity for 100 guests. All hotel rooms have a bathroom and TV inside.
6. Youth Hostel Celje
Hostel Celje is located in a recently refurbished historical building. The youth hostel has 11 rooms, each one theme-decorated by a group of artists to take you into a parallel universe of myths and legends from Celje’s history. The hostel is part of the youth centre. It also contains a café, conference hall, and numerous opportunities for outdoor sports and games. Totally hostel offers 42 beds in 11 rooms. There are five theme-decorated double rooms and two single rooms in the upper floor. Each room is uniquely designed and has its own story.
