My wish for travelling already started in primary school, when I discovered old travel books at home. Until now I have counted 60+ countries that I’ve visited. I’ve trekked to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal, climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, paraglided in Turkey over Oludeniz, spent a night in a “cell” hostel in Ljubljana, watched wild orangutans and proboscis monkeys in Borneo, trekked into the rainforest to find the biggest flower in the world, Rafflesia, seen wild kangaroos and crocodiles in Australia, snorkelled with the biggest fish in the world in the Philippines, the whale shark, and cycled the »dead road« in Bolivia, so I would say I’m quite an adventurous girl.
When I travel, I join my two passions, travelling adventures and photography, since I never leave home without my camera.
I love writing about my travelling adventures in magazines and newspapers, or showing my photos on exhibitions, or entering photo contests. I discovered Hostelling International Slovenia completely by chance and joined a phenomenal team. Now I write articles for the Globetrotter online magazine as a volunteer.
To those who are still thinking about travelling, but are too shy to actually make it happen, all I can say is just GO! Don't wait for too long, you can always make money, but you cannot go back in time. I can say that every trip makes me happier. I know now that »Beautiful things in life don't just happen, you have to fight for them, or in my case, FLY TO THEM«.
