Simona & Jure Čuček

We are Simona and Jure, travellers who like to jump all over the world. Literally. We take pictures of us jumping in front of different sights. Why? Because we like it.

 

Up till now we´ve been on the road quite often, but our longest trips were limited to one month due to our work. We´ve been to many European countries, we love Southeast Asia and we also started exploring the West. We are active volunteers for the travellers paper Globetrotter, since October 2012. 

 

We always dreamt about a longer trip - a year would be great. Together with our childish dream - to travel around the world, these two always seemed like an illusion pushed deep into the subconscious. While travelling we meet a lot people. This happened on a warm July evening in 2012 in Bagan where we met a Norwegian couple on a yearlong trip around the world. They were living our dreams. After this we started looking for possibilities, how something like this could be done. If we´re quite honest, it´s a difficult task. And 3 years later, before we realised what is going on we are in the middle of arranging everything for our adventure. One year trip around the globe. The exact itinerary is still in progress, we just know the starting point - South America. New year’s Eve will be celebrated in Australia and we are going to spend spring and summer in our beloved Asia. Unfortunately we have to skip Africa, but some things will just have to wait. 

 

In order to keep our families and friends up to speed we created a website in English www.slovenianstravel.com and a Facebook page with the same name (Slovenians travel) in Slovene and English.
